I always feel weird writing “about me” or “bio” sections. I feel like I have to tell you everything but then can’t think of anything to say. Can you relate? Identity is weird like that. So, I’ll just keep it simple because I know that I’ll (over)spill the beans about all things me + life over in the blog, on the gram or wherever else we chat.
I’m a proud midwestern girl who has had the gift of living in the south for the past 9 years from Houston, TX to Nashville, TN to Atlanta, GA. I was a nomad in my 20’s and loved every second of it. Then I met a handsome dude who stopped me in my tracks. I quickly became a wife and now at 31 years young I am a mama to two little goofballs with full heads of hair. Our journey in parenthood has been just that – a journey. Our little Natalie is pushing two years old and working on taking her first steps on her own. We love her for that, she has taught us to celebrate the small things and enjoy living on God’s time. Our little Z-Man is the happiest little guy you ever did meet. He’s taught us to stop and smile…at everyone…all the time.

My husband Matt and I are notorious for sharing too much of our lives and relationship with the world. We just feel like it’s part of our purpose here – to share with others so they can connect, so they can feel seen, so they can laugh a little and have a little more hope as they move forward, so they can be capable of walking into the big, beautiful life God has formed them for here. We believe in celebrating life at every opportunity...and it usually involves a good glass of bourbon!
Most people who know me define me by a few things, one of them being my speedy speech. RiaRambles was a nickname long before this little social media space existed. So, it was a natural “name” for me take on. It’s just me.
These days, Matt and I run our consulting company Life Pulse Inc. (www.lifepulseinc.com) together from our home, wherever it may be as we are currently on the move to St. Louis, MO after many years in the ATL. He’s the guy you’ll find on the face of it, and I’m busy making things pretty behind the scenes. It’s hard and messy somedays y’all, but that’s life…and we’d be lying if we said we didn’t love it.
I had the idea to put a RiaRambles blog together after a long hard year in 2018 where God led me to share my struggles and my joys in real and vulnerable ways on instagram. From there, I wrote a 12-day reflection on identity + goal setting that I wanted to build a home for, and the website was born.
If you love talking all things Jesus + identity + marriage + dating + hoop earrings + fitness + motherhood + bourbon + leopard print + friendship + purpose + empowering youth + loving your body…and a million other things I’ll be ramblin’ about…then let’s hang out. I’ll always be real, and I am always looking for people to love.
